This policy explains how Websculpt Pty Ltd (ABN 29 377 287 355), trading as WEBSCULPT (“we”, “us”), handles personal information collected through websculpt.com.au. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- What you type into our forms. The contact form asks for your name, business, city, what you need, a budget range, your email and, if you choose, a phone number. The cost-breakdown form on the pricing page asks for your name, email, business and what you need.
- Emails you send us. Anything you write to hello@websculpt.com.au.
- Basic server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting records IP addresses, pages requested and browser type, used for security and to keep the site running.
The booking demo on our services page is a demonstration only. Anything you enter there stays in your own browser (local storage) and is not sent to us.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry or send the cost breakdown you asked for.
- To quote for, plan and deliver work you engage us to do, and to invoice for it.
- To keep the website secure and working.
We don’t add you to a mailing list, we don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Who else sees it
Only the service providers we need to run the business: our web host and email provider (form submissions are delivered to our inbox by email), and our accounting software if you become a client. Some of these providers may store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose reputable providers and only share what each one needs.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t become projects are deleted within 24 months. Client records are kept for as long as Australian tax and business law requires, generally seven years.
Keeping it safe
The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions go straight to a password-protected inbox, and only the people working at the studio can see them. No system is perfectly secure; if a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
Your choices and rights
- You can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email hello@websculpt.com.au and we’ll respond within 30 days.
- You can deal with us without giving your name for general questions, though we’ll need contact details to reply or quote.
Complaints
If you think we’ve mishandled your information, email hello@websculpt.com.au and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
